Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVK) 

The schemes on KVK were launched by the ICAR, Govt. of India, during 1976 as an innovative institution for vocational training in agriculture and allied area. Skill training is imparted to the trainees through the methods of teaching by doing and learning by doing. The KVK aims at practical training to practicing farmers, farm women as well as school drop-outs who acquire training for self-employment.
