12. Financing Drip/ Sprinkler Irrigation System

a. Drip Installation:
Assistance: Pattern of assistance and maximum ceiling for different category of farmers would be as follows:

(Category ‘A” – States of AP, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra & TN
Category ‘B’ – All States except those covered under category ‘A’ and those Falling in the Himalayan belt
Category ‘C’ – All the States falling under the Himalayan belt including all the NE States Sikkim, HP, J&K and Hills of UP)
The State Governments share for drip installation would be 10% for all States except NE States including Sikkim.
It should be ensured that all the major components for the drip installation have BIS Certification.
Other details viz. maximum limit of assistance per ha. For different crop spacing, etc are furnished in Cir.No.AGR/2003-04/28 Dt. 22.11.2002.
b. Sprinkler Irrigation:
Assistance: 50% of the total cost subject to max. ceiling of `15,000/- per ha. for Small, Marginal, SC/ST and Women farmers and 33% of cost subject to a max. of `10,000/- per ha. for other category farmers. The assistance would be available for a max. area of 2.00 ha. per beneficiary family.
The State Government share for sprinkler irrigation would be 25% for all States and GOI share would be 75%.
