Groundnut bud borer: Anarsia ephippias
Symptoms of damage:

• Larva bores into terminal buds and shoots.
• Leaflets emerging from central spindle with shot-holes initially.
• In severe infestation leaflets with midribs only.

Identification of the pest:

• Larvae:  Chocolate brown coloured and 10-15 mm long

Management:

Spray azadirachtin 1  EC (10000 ppm) 500 ml/ ac
