Black mould rot: Aspergillus niger

Symptoms

• Yellowing of base – development of irregular, hazy, greyish spots.
• Mesocarp of the rotted area becomes depressed – soft.
• The fruit surface – covered – blackish fungal growth.
• Decrease in ascorbic acid.
