Fruits are edible one and unripe fruits considered as anathematic; bark is a powerful astringent; leaves and seeds are insecticidal use. It cures asthmatic disorder. Generally rural people use this plant as health tonic and farmers used the leaves for controlling pest. The colour of the fruit is yellowish orange. The single fruit weighs about ½ - ¾ kg. The maximum yield is 200 fruits/year. The cost of the single fruit is Rs.2-3/-
