Seeni Kizhangu – Local Sweet Potato Variety
It has been cultivating for more than 15 years. It is suitable for both rain fed and  irrigated condition seen in Irudhukottai village of Krishnagiri district with duration of three months. Leaf cutting are best suited method for propagating this crop. It is all season crop. Furrows are made in the field with two feet length and the leaf cuttings are planted in that furrow. For cultivating one acre, 10 cent area is used for transplanting purpose. This crop is not affected by any pest and disease. Based on the water availability, the kizhangu size will vary.
