Kulithakali (Tomato)
It is being cultivated in Kanchipuram district. The season for growing this variety is throughout the year and also the bearing season is throughout the year. The seed rate is 100g/ac and 10 plant / cent. The size is also small and more tartaric acid content. It is resistant to pest and disease. It is suitable for dry land cultivation. Root slip is enough for re-emergence (after drying of above ground portion i.e stem and leaves). After two months, the plant will start bearing.
