Office of the Special Advisor on Gender Issues and Advacement of Women (OSAGI)
The Office's main objective is to promote and strengthen the effective implementation of the Millennium Declaration, the Beijing Declaration and the Platform for Action of the Fourth World Conference on Women (FWCW) held in Beijing in 1995 and the Outcome Document of the special session of the General Assembly on Beijing.This Office was created on 1 March 1997.

National Gender Resource Centre in Agriculture (NGRCA)
The National Gender Resource Centre in Agriculture (NGRCA) is a focal point for convergence of all gender related issues in agriculture and is to serve as an epicenter to coordinate and synergize various efforts aiming at women’s empowerment though agriculture.
The NGRCA besides undertaking and supporting training, research and advocacy to mainstream gender issues in agriculture and natural resource management aims at forging effective functional linkages with other related departments, agencies and institutions & is mandated to ensure that the policies and programmes in agriculture are fully engendered & reflect the national commitment to empowerment of women.
Directorate of Research on Women in Agriculture (DRWA)
DRWA,Bhubaneswar is mandated to identify gender issues and test appropriateness of available farm-technologies/ programmes / policies with women perspective for promoting gender mainstreaming in research and extension for empowerment of farmwomen and capacity building of scientists, planners and policy makers to respond to the needs of the farm women". Earlier it was called as National Research Center for Women in Agriculture.
Uttara Devi Resource Centre for Gender development (UDRC), MSSRF
It began functioning in October 1996 to
- promote the incorporation of gender issues and the concept of gender equity in research and action related to development with special emphasis on rural and agricultural development and |
- encourage, develop and maintain gender perspectives in all activities and programmes undertaken by the Foundation |
